Nintendo Switch Game’s rumour
Nintendo’s next console is almost here. Nintendo Switch, previously codenamed NX and announced this morning, is on track to release in March 2017. When it’s out, your home and portable play will be combined into one unit: Switch is a tablet with detachable controllers that can dock with your TV, playing its games anywhere.
The core concept of Nintendo Switch console is that it’s a portable device with games that you can also play on your TV at home by way of a dock. But don’t expect the docking unit to provide more storage or performance capability to the tablet — Nintendo has confirmed that it’s primarily a way to get the tablet-style portable’s games onto the bigger screen.
It’s possible that the Switch could eke a little more performance out in the dock because it wouldn’t be as constrained by battery life, but we know almost nothing about its tech specs right now.
This announcement is in line with Nintendo’s previous announcements and it appears that the Switch’s rollout is going right according to schedule. No word yet on which regions will see an initial launch.
Are you excited for Nintendo’s latest console? Will it finally truly compete against the PlayStation and Xbox giants?
